Science has made considerable progress but nature and human anatomy always throws new challenges to the contemporary human tools to pursue even further deep into the infinite knowledge of the universe. In 1993 the human visionaries were struck again by a new category of human illness of the brain called Adrenoleukodystrophy. This disease has given new hurdles for the scientists to enhance their research in the field of genetics.
Adrenoleukodystrophy, as the name suggests, is a disease that is marked by the degeneration of the adrenal glands; responsible for metabolism of the body and suppression of inflammatory reactions in the body. It also facilitates the excretion of salts in the urine, maintains blood pressure in the body and facilitates blood supply to our muscles and brain; in brief it frames an essential part in the immune system of the body.
Unlike meningitis the disease is marked by loss of myelin sheath surrounding nerve cells in the brain, the fatty layer which acts as an insulator between the neurons and the brain, gradually resulting in the degeneration of adrenal glands, disabling the functions managed by the gland in the optimisation of human body.
A number of diseases are genetic but like all genes on the human X and Y chromosomes are different, the disease also marks different hosts and carriers, in this case the carriers are female and the hosts are male. In a layman language, men are mostly affected by this disease in comparison to female. A similar comparison can be done with the occurrence of baldness gene in humans where women are rarely affected while men are generally affected. In brief its occurrence will only be visualized in women when the gene on both the XX of the chromosomes are present rather than just single X while the case is reverse in men with single X in XY chromosome.
Today due to the advancement of gene therapy it is clear that there is a possible cure of various genetic or acquired diseases including in the treatment of X-linked Adrenoleukodystrophy and coronary heart diseases such as atherosclerosis.

Tooth discoloration has become a rampant problem in recent times, mostly due to our attraction to stain-inducing foods and beverages. Take coffee for instance. This is something most of us consume on a daily basis without thought of what it may be doing to our teeth. The only effect we’re concerned about is whether or not it’ll be able to wake us up for the long day ahead. Tooth staining doesn’t stop with coffee. Activities like smoking can compound the problem, further yellowing your teeth. When most people get fed up with seeing their yellow hue of a smile everyday, they begin to consider professional whitening treatments. These procedures make use of carbamide peroxide, which bleaches the teeth for an extended period of time. During a whitening treatment, a mouthguard is prepared with this carbamide peroxide and applied to your teeth. A light may be used to activate the gel so it can begin working. Many cosmetic dentists will rotate through several mouthguards during the hour long treatment so your teeth can become several shades whiter. Although this is the most ideal way to go about whitening your teeth, it can cost you $500 or more. Some might even seek more drastic forms of treatment like Lumineers dental veneers, which can cost over $1,000 per tooth. Most of us can’t justify spending this type of money, so naturally, we explore the alternatives.
One of the easiest ways to fight tooth discoloration is to incorporate baking soda into your oral hygiene regimen. Baking soda is an abrasive that can help remove some of the plaque that has accumulated on your teeth over time, albeit at a slow pace. It may take a few months before you see any noticeable change in tooth shade. Being overly aggressive with the baking soda won’t expedite the whitening effects and could damage your teeth, so it’s best to take it slow. You can apply a small amount of baking soda to your toothbrush once you have finished brushing your teeth and work it in using a circular motion. You can then rinse your mouth using some water. While other home treatments calling for the use of strawberries and such have been rumored to work, its generally not a good idea to experiment with things that can disrupt the acidity level within your mouth. It may lead to a depletion of tooth enamel, leaving you susceptible to tooth decay.
There are a significant number of tooth whitening kits available that can help you obtain some decent results. These use the same ingredients you would find in a dentist’s office at lower concentrations. The concept is the same – you apply the whitening gel to a mouthpiece and allow it to penetrate your teeth for half an hour or more (depending on the documentation provided with your product). These products may take several weeks to months before reaching maximum effect, so give the process time. If you’ve exhausted your options as far as at-home whitening is concerned, it may be worth investing several hundred dollars towards an in-office treatment that can last a year ore more with proper upkeep. If you have a more chronic case of discoloration, consider talking to a cosmetic dentist about dental veneers. You can secure financing for Lumineers and other popular restorations to help pay for your procedure.

The function of best supplements is to increase the energy and strength of muscles. Supplements are popular among those who work out a lot and want their muscles to look strong with cuts and in perfect shape. There are various types of supplements available such as protein, testosterone, multivitamins, gluatamine and creatine supplements. However, a few brands exist which are reliable and provide good quality supplements with little or no side effects.
A brief description of best supplements is as below:
Protein Supplements:
The most common and essential form of supplements are protein supplements. The reason why they are considered important lies in the fact that muscles are made of proteins (which are further composed of energy units called amino acids) and while working out a major portion of proteins is consumed. In order to restore that consumed proportion, the intake of a few grams of protein supplements depending upon the body weight is recommended. Whey and Casein are the two categories of protein supplements. Casein is taken at night before sleeping as it digests gradually and keeps the stomach full till morning.
Glutamine and Creatine Supplements:
Glutamine and Creatine supplements are the two critical forms of supplements. Creatine intake is recommended before starting off with the work out whereas Glutamine intake is preferred after the work out is complete. They two have the function of strengthening muscle tissues. However, as a precautionary measure the two supplements should not be taken at the same time as the receptors compete for bonding, which is not a healthy condition.
Natural Testosterone Boosters:
This type of supplements serves as a natural alternative to steroids. They help maintaining a healthy libido and also have a role as mood enhancers. Muscular strength and gain is also provided by natural testosterone boosters.
Multi Vitamins:
Multi vitamins are one of the basic requirements for keeping the body healthy and any deficiency leads to muscle fatigue and weakness. They do not have any side effects like any other supplements.
