Contacts That You Can Wear All the Time

by admin on April 20, 2010

Contact lenses are usually seen as unpractical, since you can’t usually take them out during the day, because you have to be able to put them in a special liquid, and also you will have to clean them with a special liquid. Also you will have to take them out of your eye during the night and put them in that liquid once again. Contacts prevent some of the oxygen from the air around your eye, from passing to your cornea, and that can cause corneal oxygen deficiency – this is the biggest cause for eye ache, and also the reason why you need to take the contacts off during the night.

Well there are specially designed continuous wear contact lenses that you can wear at all times without taking them off. The reason for this is that they have been made out of a specific compund that lets air pass to your eye almost as easily as it would if you weren’t wearing contacts. This invention has advanced contact lense technology and has brought contacts available for people who have trouble wearing them because they have sensitive eyes.

You can wear these types of contact lenses for a period of four weeks in a row, and after that you need to take them off. The reason for this is that these lenses allow the air pass almost as easily as if it would if you weren’t wearing anything. Basically you are going to change the lenses to new ones every four weeks, and during the exchanging process, you will take a few days brake and wear glasses during that time.

Normally you have to take contact lenses out every day, and even if there are breathable contacts – or rigid gas permeable contact (RGP) – they do not provide enough airflow through the lens. So contact your optician and find out which lenses you can get that you can wear all the time!

These days, if you don’t like the color of our eyes its just a matter of deciding what color you want your eyes to be. Here is a quick ‘how to’ guide, with easy to follow steps on how to get colored contacts.

The first thing you need to decide is you want transparent (if your eyes are already green) or if you want to a more dramatic look, or want to change your eye color all together, if that is the case than you are going to want to go with opaque colored contacts, and if you want green eyes, than you are obviously going to want to pick green.

Before you decide to go with green eyes, really consider your personality, color schemes, the clothes you wear, and your skin tone and the color of your hair, if you are fair skinned with red hair, green contacts will really compliment your natural look.

Once you have decided that is what you want to do, and you do not currently wear contacts you need to set up an appointment with your eye doctor, and let them you that you want an eye exam, if you do need a prescription, and have not had one previously, it may be wise to wear glasses and adjust to your new prescription. Than once your eyes have adjusted, it would be safe to convert over to green contact lenses. And if you do not require a prescription your eye doctor can still help you order non prescription contact lenses. When you do not require an prescription you may be able to order green contact lenses online through several different places without having to go to your eye doctor. But it would be wise to consult with a physician before wearing contacts. Some eyes are not healthy enough for contacts.
