What Diet Is The Right Diet For You?

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of new diet programs that are popping up every day. There are fad diets like the Atkins diet, prepackaged diets like Medifast and even diets that let you eat cookies all day. The problem is how do we know what works and what doesn’t?

Well the simple answer is that we are all different so if the South Beach diet works for you it doesn’t mean it will work for me. The key is experimenting to figure out what diets work best for you and more importantly what you can stick to. After all a diet could work amazingly well but if you aren’t going to stick with it then you’ll never lose weight.

So you might be asking how you determine which diets are best for you? Unfortunately trial and error is the best option (unless your doctor recommends one), but you can narrow it down. Let’s say you don’t like fish, well an all seafood diet wouldn’t work for you. If you don’t like spending money on pre-packaged diet foods then Medifast may not be the best option, even if you have a Medifast coupon to save a few bucks.

The best thing to do is start with the easiest diet first. Some people are able to lose weight eating what they normally do, as long as they exercise more often. Some people just have to cut out desert at night and maybe mix in a salad instead of French fries. You’d be amazed how little changes can help.

If you need to lose more than a couple pounds I think the simplest diet is Weight Watchers. I have used the online version of Weight Watchers myself and I found it very easy to do compared to more extreme diets like Atkins and I think it is a much better jumping off point for people who are new to dieting.

That all said, the only one who can figure out what diet works for you and what diet you would actually stick with is you. There are a lot of diets out there and there is certainly something for everyone.
