How to Burn Fat and Lose Weight Naturally

by ChangeYourLife on July 12, 2010

When people think of losing some weight through the burning of their store of body fat, they usually think of diet related pills or similar that are heavily promoted and claim to be able to do it all for you. But there is also a completely natural way of doing this and it is one of the more successful and relatively easy weight loss tips you are likely to come across. So what is this amazing secret to burning fat naturally? Let’s take a look and see.

Actually, its no great secret and not even particularly amazing, but one of the best ways there has always been and probably always will be to burn body fat is to exercise and build muscle strength. However, not just any old exercise will do.

The best way to go about this is to choose a cardiovascular exercise, often referred to as aerobic exercise such as those which cause your heart rate to increase, your breathing to become heavy and to cause you to sweat a lot! Most resistance training methods do this, as do stepping, running, swimming and even fast walking up and down hills all count. The trick to this, if you can call it a trick, is to maintain a moderate level of continued cardiovascular exercise for more than twenty minutes. This is the critical time that must elapse before your body switches from burning the sugars in your bloodstream, which become depleted after this time, to burning fat.

This happens because the muscles that are doing the work are demanding fuel that comes from the glucose and similarly easily broken down sugars present in your bloodstream. When the levels are depleted after around twenty minutes, the body is forced to find more fuel so the muscles can continue working. It gets this from the fat stores and converts the fat back to usable sugars to keep the muscles fed.

It naturally follows that the larger and stronger your muscles that are doing the work, the more fuel for energy they will demand and the faster will your fat store become depleted. This doesn’t happen quickly, but is a gradual process that is cumulative as long as you continue to do the necessary exercise as often as possible, preferably daily. This cool piece of weight loss information is completely natural and the end result is you get a slim, fit and great looking body that will continue looking great as long as you keep up your exercises.

The Best Fat Burning Foods

by admin on February 9, 2010

Is there a better concept than fat burning food? Delicious, tasty food, that actually helps you lose weight. Quite amazing! This article will list some of the best fat burning foods out there, helping you kick start your weight loss.

Foods Rich in Vitamin C
Certain fruits contain large quantities of vitamin C, these include oranges and limes. Vitamin C helps burning fat, since it dilutes it, making it less effective, thus it is easier to release the fat from the body.

Foods Rich in Calcium
Dairy products such as milk and yoghurt are very rich in calcium. Recent studies show that these products can act as a fat burner by increasing fat breakdown in fat cells. The studies also show that calcium supplements were not as effective as consuming milk.

High Protein Foods
More energy is required to digest protein than fat. It is also a key building block for muscles. Thus foods high in protein and low on fat are efficient fat burners. This includes chicken, turkey, certain fish, and low-fat dairy.

Chili
Chili contains capsaicin, which increases metabolism, making the body burn more fat. Thus chili can be considered a fat burner. The effect lasts, however, a relatively short time, about 20 minutes.

Dark Chocolate
Dark chocolate can actually, in moderation, be a very useful part of your weight loss diet. Pretty good news, huh?

An occasional, small sized dark chocolate bar will keep your cravings for sweets at a minimum. Additionally, dark chocolate has many beneficial properties, studies show that it contains anti-oxidants which combat the storage of fat cells in the body, it lowers blood pressure, and it is good for the heart.

Keep it in Moderation
That a certain type of food can be considered a fat burner, does not mean that you can eat unlimited quantities of it. It simply means, that if you limit your calorie intake, and a large part of that intake consist of these foods, you will lose weight efficiently!
