<p>Maybe you want to eat what everyone else is eating so just do it in smaller portions.  You don’t have to eat a full plate of mashed potatoes, or three hot-dogs. Eating a smaller portion will keep you from over eating but still allow you to enjoy the holiday meals.</p>

That is a ton of information!</p>
<p>With that much info out there about how to lose weight, why are so many people still searching every month?  The answer appears to be that people are not finding the information that they are looking for.  Even more surprising is that with so many people searching for ways to lose weight and so many people willing to give them that information, our society is still getting more and more over weight.</p>
<p>I think that this tells us one of three things: either people are not liking the information that they are being given, the things that they are being told to try are not working, or they are asking the wrong question.  I personally think it’s most likely a combination of all three.  I also think that in order to avoid the first two, we need to concentrate on the third – we need to start asking a different question.</p>
<p>I have been studying health and nutrition for a long, long time.  When I found myself injured and unable to work out, I gained a lot of weight.  At that point, I found myself getting sucked into the same trap – worrying about my weight.  My past experience helped me to receive a revelation.  I remembered that the way to lose weight is to get back to focusing on being healthy.</p>
<p>This was a challenge because due to severe back and hip injuries, I could not work out the way I used to. I did not let that deter me, however.  I stopped worrying about how to lose weight and asked myself the question, “How do I get back to a healthy lifestyle in my current condition?”  That was the key.  I just rephrased the question and focused my energy on answering it.  Did it work?  Of course it did.  How many fat people do you know that live a healthy lifestyle?</p>
<p>I honestly believe that if we can change our mindset towards living healthy and get away from the “<a href="http://hubpages.com/hub/4-the-Quickest-Way-to-Lose-Weight">quickest way to lose weight</a>” mentality, the rest will follow in due course.  Making up our minds to change is the hard part.  The rest is just following through.</p>
