Having low self esteem really effects all aspects of your life particularly your love relationships. Low self esteem is also a vicious circle, you start to actually believe your value is less than it actually is. Why? Because your starving for the love, support and attention you need. Your at a point where you will take any relationship to fill that void even if it is not the best for you. Something is better than nothing is your mindset. It does not have to be this way though. Low self esteem self help starts with taking a personal inventory of yourself and admitting you have a problem. Are you passive and not always standing up for yourself when you should? Do you have trouble accepting compliments from others? For example, when someone says your hair looks great, do you say “thanks”, or do you say “you don’t have to lie, I know it does not look that good”. Do you think you have no control over anything in your life? If you said yes to more than one of those, you might suffer to some degree of low self esteem.
So how can you improve your self esteem fast? For starters, you must stop talking negatively to yourself. If you do not like you, why should anyone else? If you can not compliment yourself, why should anyone else? Love yourself first, be your biggest fan. Next, face your personal flaws head on and not avoid them. If you know that you lack confidence then admit it to yourself so you can start working on it. It is sometimes painful to admit our shortcomings, but by getting them out in the open, you learn to accept that some areas of your life need improvement, and can now take the next step of making life changes. When making these changes, it is best to fake it until you make it so to speak. Let’s return to the confidence example, if you want to be a more confident person, then think about how a confident person acts, then start doing that. At first you will be faking it, but eventually, you will become a more confident person. Those are just a few easy steps you can take to improve your self esteem fast.

In addition to developing better habits in your behavior, you can also take steps to improve your overall self image and the way you present yourself. Take care to improve your personal appearance. Get recommendations or advice on personal care and grooming. Good nail care, hairstyling, and skin care tips can help you look healthy and attractive. Good personal style is a must when it comes to putting your best foot forward. If needed, get some up-to-date makeup tips or fashion tips and incorporate those into your daily routines. You don’t need to be excessively trendy, but keeping yourself up-to-date can help you feel more confident in yourself and can also help you make a good first impression to others.
Last of all, look at yourself from a new perspective and viewpoint. Think about how you might appear to other people. When you change your habits consider how you now look to them. If you want even get some feedback from them as well on how you are changing as a person. If they see a change then you will be taking steps in the right direction.
