Everyone is jumping on the hemp oil and “anything hemp” bandwagon for some reason. I think it’s the earthy thing to do these days. One of the major products or things we get from hemp is hemp oil. Besides seeing hemp oil in just about everything, one thing getting a lot of attention is hemp lotions. Hemp oil contains tons of great stuff, at least a lot of buzzwords you hear these days like antioxidants.

Apparently hemp seed oil contains large amounts of Linolenic acids, whatever that means, but a lot of folks out there pushing hemp seed oil lotions are the same ones selling it; oddly enough. Some even claim that hemp lotions help sufferers of eczema and psoriasis; which is a pretty bold claim.

Depending on how much you’re into total body wellness, a lot of these hemp fads are just like everything else. However, what if it really works? Well, I thought I’d set out to try these hemp lotions, specifically the hempz brand, and see what I thought. Not only did I set out to try it, but so did my wife who does happen to have psoriasis.

One of the biggest claims is that hemp lotions rehydrate the skin faster then lotions made with traditional oils. Being winter and a hot tub owner, my wife and I are constantly battle dry skin, and we can honestly say, from experience, that the lotion we’ve been using that has hemp seed oil in it, does seem to rehydrate our skin much faster then any other type we’ve used. It hasn’t gotten rid of my wife’s psoriasis, but it has made a difference and keeps it soft and hydrated. I use it every day on the back of my arms before putting on my dress shirt and tie and my skin stays hydrated throughout the entire day.

Although I’m not sure about the antioxidants and linolenic acids, hemp oil lotion does seem to quench our thirsty skin. That’s all I need to know.

There are so many great things that you can expect when you visit a wellness spa. Most people confuse a wellness spa with a regular spa. One is a spa that you can visit in your local mall or shopping center, and another is meant to be a longer term stay.

Though both types of spas can sometimes offer some similar services like massages, and facials, a wellness spa has some significant differences over your standard hometown spa. The most primary difference in a wellness spa, and a regular spa is your intention for visit. Wellness spas are designed for you to getaway for a few days, and focus on one issue you would like to address. There are spas that will focus on weight loss, on relaxation, on learning how to eat healthier, on managing stress effectively, on gaining better personal insight, on improving your Yoga skills, or even on improving your relationship.

When you visit a wellness spa, whatever you are trying to accomplish will be approached from a holistic perspective. For example, if you go to a spa like this to lose weight, you will attend seminars geared to help you learn long term healthy eating habits, you will take varied exercise courses based on your own choosing and interests.

These courses can be anything from Yoga, Pilates and modern dance to aerobics, muscle builder classes and Tai Chi. Any good weight loss wellness spa will have a focused muscle builder class because healthy natural muscle building goes hand in hand with metabolism boosting, and weight loss. When you are shopping around for a wellness spa, you will want to make sure that you find one that is located in a tranquil and lovely location. You should be able to put your cares aside for at least a few days, and allow your body to heal and rejuvenate.

During your visit, you will be attended to by professionals and experts in the areas you are trying to improve in your life, and you will be offered many activity options for treatment. An average day at a wellness spa can go something like this:

Wake up in the morning, to a morning meditation and morning stretch session. You would then head to an eating area for a light and healthy breakfast. From that point, you would attend a variety of different activities, from classes, a professional counseling session, a more intensive exercise session, a daily massage or beauty treatment, and a group class. Throughout your day, you can choose the best time for you to eat your meals, and complete your exercises. You are the designer of your own program, and nothing is encouraged but your own growth, relaxation, and renewal.
