13 Home Remedies for Acne

Acne is an inflammatory disorder of the sebaceous glands. These glands are responsible for excessive sebum secretion, which becomes trapped on the skin, irritating the skin, leading to pimple formations. Acne affects several parts of the body such as the face, back, neck, and chest. But it is commonly seen on the face because this is the most visible area of the body.

The excessive secretion of sebum is caused primarily by androgen hormones. These hormones are triggered by age, nutritional deficiencies, stress, allergens, and environmental toxins. Androgen hormones usually increase during adolescence and that is why acne is common at this age. But acne may also appear in adults due to some hormonal disturbances.

There are many treatments for acne, but the problem is that there is no ultimate treatment which can heal, eliminate, and prevent acne formation for the rest of your life. The reason for this is that acne is triggered by a lot of factors and it is a result of hormonal imbalances. Almost everybody experiences hormonal imbalances during certain stages of their lives. When acne will form is quite unpredictable, but whether or not it will form is quite predictable.  Acne can be temporary healed and prevented with the use of natural products.

The best treatments for acne are made from natural products. They are considered as “best” because they don’t cause harmful side effects. Since skin is a sensitive body organ, excessive synthetic chemicals from commercial skin care products can be harmful to the skin; thus, people often prefer to use natural products in treating acne. Although their effects take a long time, their benefits are worth the wait.

One great thing about these natural skin care agents is that, you can usually get them at your own home and garden. Thus, these treatments are called “home remedies” due to their accessibility.
