Acne: Many People Have It
Many people either have, or have had, acne, either during their teen years or even when they are grown. If you have it on your face, it makes you shy and introverted. If you have it on your back, you never want to go to the beach or go swimming. There is always the fear, especially with teenagers, that acne will hinder their relationships. Acne is seen as something that we just have to live with, but do we? Is it possible to stop it from ever appearing?
Acne: Where Does it Come From?
Acne is formed because of a combination of issues. Basically, when the sebaceous glands on the skin produce extra amounts of sebum, dead skin accumulates and ends up blocking the pores. This increased pressure within the gland causes acne to form. The bacteria, P. Acnes, also causes acne to spread and to become sore and inflamed.
Acne: How To Stop It From Forming
If you have acne, there are some simple things you can do that, while they may not stop acne, may help you to gain acne control. It is possible to eliminate acne from your skin, if sufficient care is taken and with medical intervention. Your doctor can help prescribe drugs that will help balance out your hormones that activate sebum productions. You can also learn how to help your skin shed its dead skin cells on a regular basis, so that they are not left on your face to block the pores. You may need microderm abrasion or AHA to help in this area. Your doctor may also prescribe some antibiotics that will help get rid of P. Acnes and prevent it from returning. If you are having problems with acne, or are afraid that you may be genetically predisposed to this condition, be sure to ask your doctor details about how you can minimize the effect it has on you.
If you are concerned about these issues, and you would like to know what to do in advance to try an acne remedy, or perhaps prevent yourself from getting it all together, then please take some time to talk with your health provider or doctor about these things.
