Can Magnetism Help A Sports Injury?

Getting older is inevitable if you are lucky. I just turned 51 and I do feel very lucky to be alive and in good health at this stage of my life. I’ve always been active physically and I always train to be in good condition. The key to living longer is simply exercise along with a good diet etc. Most doctors will tell you the same thing. I look at people around me the same age as i am and it’s astounding how many people who are in poor health.

One of the risks as we age and do physical exercise if the chance for injury. It’s a fact that our muscles degenerate and our joints become more brittle as we get older. The only way to fight this aging is with exercise. Exercise is exactly what got me in trouble recently. I’m an aggressive person by nature and I don’t do anything halfheartedly, including exercise. Recently I went out on a hike without a proper warm up. I really hit the hike hard and got my cardio up. It was a really hilly terrain and I power walked through it. I enjoyed the work out very much but later that evening I felt some stiffness and aching in my knee. That was 2 months ago and I’m still having some trouble.

I do not want to go to the doctor. I’m pretty sure I didn’t tear anything in my knee. I certainly aggravated something though. I started researching for a pain remedy and I have noticed a lot of people are very positive about the healing powers of magnetism. At this point, I’m willing to listen or try just about anything. People who suffer from the same ailment as I am are wearing a magnetic knee support. The science behind it makes a lot of sense to me. If magnetism will help get the blood flowing, it makes sense that an injury may heal quicker.

I’m having most of my problems in the morning when I wake up. My knee is stiff and it eventually starts to feel a lot better as I move around. I think I may try a knee support pillow when I sleep. If I can take some additional pressure off my knee at night, I think it may heal a lot faster. One thing that I will definitely do in the future before exercising is do a proper warm up and stretch my legs.
