There are many colon cleanse benefits to consider that should help to motivate your interest, in this somewhat uncomfortable topic. Why do people do it? The biggest reason is that the residue left in the colon is toxic!
Over the course of years, this slow poisoning can leave your immune system weakened and can cause extreme bloating and constipation. In some of the worst cases this residue can even cause death via cancer, or a rupture of the digestive tract.
Well, those are the dangers that we face, but how about a positive benefits of a cleanse treatment?
Weight loss. You’d be surprised at how much of that nasty junk has built up over the years.
The average person can expect to lose at least 4 pounds, and in some extreme cases up to 30 pounds. But the overall weight loss benefit to managing a healthy colon is more complex than the simple loss of the residual material itself. Some nutrition experts theorize that the inability to absorb the nutrients we need due to this substance fuels the fat and sugar cravings that drive the obesity pandemic. A healthy colon and digestive tract is a powerful step in controlling your appetite naturally.
Hopefully at this point you are sold on the benefits of a cleanse, so before you go I would like to leave you with an easy colon cleanse recipe.
What you will need:
1 pouch of green tea (Cut open the pouch and add the tea directly to the water )
1 teaspoon of grape seed oil
1 teaspoon of flax seed oil
1 teaspoon of fresh finely minced ginger
A tall glass of water (8oz)
Optional:
A tablespoon of ground flax seeds, added for some additional fiber.
Mix all the ingredients, I prefer warm water (but not too hot to drink easily) and drink the entire mixture; yes, even the tea. If you have trouble with drinking the green tea bits for whatever reason, you can substitute a green tea capsule supplement ground and added to the liquid. A few days of this treatment and you should feel much better. Fasting is suggested while doing a cleanse.
