Common Sense Spray On Tan Precautions For Beginners

Getting a spray tan rather than a sun tan can be very tempting for most people because of the perceived health benefits . As some people still enjoy a day of baking at the beach many others can’t find the time or are too afraid of the risks involving  ultraviolet light.  A spray tan explains itself, you spray on and you get tanned. Although it doesn’t last as long as a natural UV tan it can still replicate one very good depending on how well the tan was applied. Good preparation is also very vital before getting a spray on tan. If you are an amateur there are a few basic points you need to know. Yes, there are always risks involved but the risks are far less than those of UV radiation from the sun. We all heard the phrase ‘too much of anything can harm you’ so it might be a good idea to try preserving your new tan for as long as you can before you get another fake tan.

If you want to stay on the safe side do your best at avoiding the chemical mist from entering your blood stream. Wear the goggles, don’t get any of the mist in your mouth and be careful not to inhale the fumes. It would also be wise to avoid spray tanning if you have cuts or open scars. If you are going to a booth, it will only take a few seconds, less than a minute so if you think you can hold your breath during this process then it can be safe. A safer alternative is having an aesthetician apply your tan by airbrush. This way you are in a larger room with much less chance of breathing in the fumes. There is more control in a room with a technician and more caution is practiced when it comes time to spray the face.

As long as you are always playing it safe you can enjoy being bronzed without worries. Most people opt for the airbrush tan because you get a flawless tan. The good thing is that the better tan is also safer. This is one of the few times you can have your cake and eat it too.
