There is one thing that I really hate as I get older. It’s the fact that my body just does not want to heal like it used to when I was younger. It’s a fact of life and if you are a young person who is physically active, take care of all of those joints when you are young. At times, in my younger days, I was abusive to my body and it seems now I’m paying for it physically. I still love to workout and live a very active lifestyle, but my joints hurt after and it takes longer now to recover.
Recently I went running and jogging on some trails near my house. Nothing too strenuous but these trails are meant for mountain biking. I hit the trails hard one day and after wards, I felt some pain on the inside of my right knee. I didn’t pay it much attention but I noticed that the pain didn’t seem to want to go away. I first tried to ice my knees and then after a few days, I started applying heat. Nothing seemed to be working to relieve me of pain in my knee.
After doing some research on the internet I ran across some research that said many people are using a magnetic knee support to aid in the healing process of their knee injuries and knee pain. A lot of people seem to be swearing on the healing powers of magnets. The science behind it seems to make sense. Anytime you can get extra blood flowing through a joint, it only makes sense that it will aid in the healing.
Another thing I have been researching is giving support to my knee while I’m resting or sleeping. I’ve also read up a lot that support is needed, so I think I’m going to purchase a knee support pillow as well. I’ve been using a regular pillow but I don’t think it works well. A good knee support pillow and a magnetic knee support may keep me from going to the doctor.
