Ever thought about developing a tan in the middle of the winter? Thanks to today’s modern day technology, it is definitely possible! When the summer is coming up, I like to get a tan from mother nature while lying at the beach and sipping martinis all day. But when summer leaves and autumn and winter arrive, I tend to get a little paler. Not only did my tan accelerator help me accelerate my tan, it also moisturized my skin. I could feel the difference quite clearly. My skin used to be much drier. I was expecting to just get a little darker. But I also got a complete skin make over, or so it feels! But at one time, I kind of over did this tan accelerator lotion a little bit. So let me give you a word of caution. These accelerators will increase the melanin in your skin. Melanin makes your pigment darker. The tingling sensation from this lotion stimulates the bloodflow in the skin, which will make your skin tan almost instantly.
For that reason, you need to be very, very careful when using tan accelerator lotions for the very first time. If you over do it, you will be stuck with a tan that looks streaky or maybe too dark. It will be a while before it wears off. You certainly don’t want to make the mistake of over doing it. When your skin is very pale, it is best to start with an accelerator that also has a sun block in it. Once you reach a certain tan, it is safer to switch to more potent accelerator lotions.
