Golf Strength Training Program

Taking your golf game to a higher level requires proper practice and extreme mental focus. It is also important to make sure your body is in shape and not holding your golf game back. As you start this 3 day workout program you will need to rest every other day. In between sets rest for 1 minute between each set your complete.

Flexibility is a plays a crucial part in your golf  game. Discipline yourself to follow a strict stretching regime before and after your workout to see the best results.

No workout is complete without a properly planned nutritional program. Every athlete needs to understand the importance of protein, carbohydrates and fats. The basic goal is to eat six small meals every day that include a good portion of protein. Eat carbs before and after workouts to help with muscle gain.

Follow the recommend guidelines for the number of reps and sets. Keep challenging yourself and pushing yourself and you will see big changes in your body and golf game.

Week 1: 6-8 reps 4 sets- Muscle Mass
Week 2: 12-15 reps 3-4 sets – Definition
Week 3: 1-3 reps 5 sets – Power
Week 4: 8-10 reps

Lat Pull Downs
Military Press
Barbell Curl
Tricep Pull Down
Twisting Crunch

Day 2:
Ball Squats
Bench Press
Military Press
Dumbell Curls
Tricep Kickbacks
Crunches
High Low WoodChoppers

Day 3:
Deadlift
Ball Squats
Push Up
Seated Row
Arnold Press
Preacher Curls
Tricep Pulldowns
Twisting Crunch

Do this workout for at least 4 weeks prior to starting your golf season. You want to keep you body in great shape and fully stretched so you can take your game to the next level.
