Spiritual coaching is the practice of using a spiritual coach to help a client discover their spiritual life and obtain the things they want from life. This is done by helping them recognize the dreams and desires of their spirits. A coach will normally meet with the client once a week or once a day for a span of time to help the client to clarify the important and meaningful aspects of the client’s life and to ensure that each aspect is addressed appropriately for a life of fulfillment.
To accomplish these tasks, the coach will help their client to practice self-exploration through the methods of meditation, reading, activities and prayer. The spiritual life coach monitors the client’s progress and together the coach and client will develop goals and plans to produce the outcomes the client desires.
Spiritual coaching encourages an individual to express full potential and accept the skills and attributes given by the Creator to the individual. The spiritual coach helps a client recognize their talents and life purpose and encourages a client’s actions to cater to the spiritual aspects of their lives.
A spiritual coach is not necessary for everyone, though many individuals would benefit from an unbiased individual focused on helping them achieve their goals. The coach encourages clients to focus on required tasks, resets goals as necessary and evaluates the client’s progress.
To become a spiritual life coach, an individual must understand the concepts they are teaching and be able to achieve things on their own. A coach should not be an individual who needs his or her own coach. A coach will work with many clients at one time and must be able to keep records and juggle all their clients in order to succeed as a coach and reach necessary income goals.
The spiritual life coach can cater to the needs of their clients, providing services in person, over the phone and even via Internet resources such as instant messages, voice chat, video chats and podcasting. The cost of services depends on the method and frequency in which a client speaks with a coach, though payment typically ranges between $40 and $150 monthly, as of 2010.
