How to Drop Those Extra Pounds?

If you have been dieting for a long time already and you still are not where you want to be but aren’t making any advancements either, it might be a good idea to read this article. I will give you a few tips on how you can drop extra pounds if your weight loss has stalled for now. Basically it is not going to be difficult, but extremely simple and there are usually two main reasons for someone to experience a slow period in their diet.

First of all many people start really fast with their diets, and they lose ten pounds in the first week. This is a sign that the excessive water retention that is caused by all the junk food that you eat, is now gone. If you still lose another ten pounds in the following few weeks, you have most likely emptied your muscle glycogen storages. Glucose is stored in your muscles as an energy source during exercise, and if you want to be able to perform even at a decent level, you should consume some simple carbs right after your workouts. This will make it possible for you to maintain your muscle mass and even gain some, which will prevent your metabolism from slowing down – so you will still lose those pounds after a long period of dieting, and all you will need is some appetite suppression during your diet.

But what to do if you already stalled with your weight loss?

The best advice that someone can give is to start eating more once again. There are many different styles of doing it, but I personally would just add a hundred grams of nuts for the breakfast, and maybe eat some fruit after you have gone to the gym, or have gone jogging. That way your body will readily start using more energy and you can start the diet again in one or two weeks.

Some people advice you to take a few days of total havoc and eat everything you think of, but this resembles more of an eating disorder, than a healthy way of losing weight. So I would just suggest you to stick with healthy foods and eat a little more than you are used to – some people even start losing weight while they eat more!
