How to Get Resveratrol From Food

It has been proven to be one of the most healthies thing in the world right now, resveratrol should be added to the diets of us all. It doesn’t only make you live longer but it also makes your life a lot more pleasant and healthier. At the same time increased intake of resveratrol has been shown to decrease the estrogen production, that can cause adverse side-effects such as prostate enlargement, gynecomastia, depression and increased adipose tissue. The problem is that you don’t most likely want to resort to expensive resveratrol supplements because you can get it from food also. You just have to remember to look at what you eat, on a daily basis. Most of the positive effects of resveratrol have been achieved with a high long term dosage, so you had better be ready to do someting for your health besides thinking about it.

First of all the reason for the French Paradox is red wine. The paradox is named French because the French eat an unhealhty diet, they are usually smokers, and drink a lot of alcohol. Even so they seem to live a healthier and a longer life than most of us. Enough with the stereotypes and time to look at the real reason here. It is considered healthy to drink one or two glasses of red wine each day. I recommend doing this at night, since it can also lower your cortisol, and help you get better sleep and reduce stress more efficiently.

Since two glasses of wine isn’t going to be enough, you need to look at other foods also. Wine is made out of grapes, and especially the dark red ones have a lot of resveratrol in them. So you should try to incorporate them in to your daily eating habits. Try washing the grapes and putting them in the freezer. You can now easily snack on frozen grapes all day long. There is no healthier snack!

If you are already tired of grapes, then it might not be a good idea to add grape juice to this mix. Also grapes are full on glucose, which is a simple sugar and make you gain weight. So I suggest you also add peanuts to your diet. They have been shown to containt a good amount of resveratrol also. Just like with the frozen grapes, snack on peanuts for about a handful each day.
