It’s Tattoo Removal Season

It’s that time of year.  We’re all working frantically to fit into our summer clothing.  Bathing suit season is just around the corner and people are thinking more and more about how their bodies look.  One thing that many people are thinking about during the skin showing season is tattoo removal.

Millions of unlucky people out there have either an ugly tattoo or a tattoo that they regret getting in the first place.  During the winter months, many tattoos are hidden by layers of warm clothing and people tend to forget about tattoo removal.  Let’s face it, we all want to look good at the beach.  Unfortunately, you can be in prime physical condition but if you have an ugly tattoo, people are going to stare.

One way of ridding oneself of unsightly embarrassing tattoos is to use a product called tattoo removal cream.  There are several companies who make tattoo removal cream.  Wrecking Balm, Ink Busters, Nuviderm, and Tattoo Off are just a few of the well known brands of tattoo removal cream that are on the market.

These products work by getting past the top layer of skin called the epidermis and into the second layer of skin called the dermis.  The dermis is extremely stable and that is why ink that is deposited there will last a lifetime.  The top layer of skin sheds and regenerates on about a six week cycle.  The products break down the ink holding  skins cells in the dermis.  These cells are then shed from the body taking the tattoo ink with it.

Tattoo removal cream is not and instant fix for those embarrassing tattoo’s.  If you choose to use it, be prepared to be patient.  In order for the product to work, you need to use it for a prolonged period of time.  Often times, for several months.  The removal process can more accurately be described as a fading process.

Tattoo removal cream is much less expensive than traditional laser tattoo removal.  Laser tattoo removal can often cost several thousand dollars.   So if you’ve been thinking about ridding yourself of an ugly tattoo, you might want to look into the possibility of using tattoo removal cream.
