Making yourself more beautiful is a fun and exciting process. When done correctly, your makeup will blend naturally and accentuate your own natural, beautiful features. However, if done incorrectly, it can detract and leave you looking like a circus freak. So following, I have listed some do’s and don’ts when it comes to makeup.
I always like to end on a positive note. So the following are a list of don’t’s.
- Don’t use too much. A little is plenty and blend it in to look as natural as possible. Remember that less is more. You don’t want to look like a circus freak.
- Don’t get too hung on the latest fad. You need to focus on what looks good on you, not the latest trend. Rock stars have professionals who apply cutting edge techniques. They have plenty of practice. Know your skill level.
- Don’t be uncomfortable. If you aren’t confident in the look, it will show. Only do what you are comfortable with. Advice from friends is great, but don’t get run over.
Now that the negative is out of the way, lets look at the do’s shall we?
- Do take care of your skin. Use sunscreen to avoid sun damage. Wash each night to remove makeup, dirt, and grime. And be sure to moisturize, especially after washing while your skin is still moist.
- Do accentuate your best features. If you r eyes are your best feature. Build you makeup around them to set them off. If you have full lips, don’t be afraid to set those off with a nice lip makeup application.
- Do go out on a limb sometimes. It is ok to take chances with your makeup occasionally. Don’t become uncomfortable, but it is OK to stand out a little.
Hopefully, these tips can help you out a little. Search for a makeup tutorial to help you put these thoughts into practice. Read a lot and ask questions. And remember, you are beautiful already. Makeup only accentuates that.
