Snoring Devices

Snoring is awful, whether it comes from you or your sleeping partner! Many people think they are just doomed to snore every night, but that’s not true, not only are there natural ways to stop snoring, but there are also the so-called “snoring devices”, products that will help you in your quest on how to prevent snoring. Let’s take a look at some of them:

Mandibular Advancement Devices. These are devices offered by dentists; they have the job of pushing your lower jaw forward while sleeping, helping a better flow of air. Many people avoid using these devices because they are uncomfortable at first, but with time you’ll get used to this.

Contour pillows. These are also found as “anti snoring pillows”. They are commonly made of memory foam or a similar material that ensures total comfort. With these pillows your head will be held at a certain position, and keeping you from sleep on your back. Such pillows are also used for sleep apnea and the treatments of neck pain during the night.

Sleep Position Monitors. These are machines that produce a beeping sound whenever you shift to a position where you are sleeping on your back. The goal of these monitors is to create a new habit over repetition. Of course, if you sleep with someone this won’t be a nice solution for snoring! Luckily, there is another simpler and effective way.

Snore Balls. Snore balls work very similar to the sleep position monitor, but instead of making a sound, you just feel discomfort which makes you shift back to your original position whenever you try to sleep on your back. People can use different balls as a “snore ball”, including tennis balls, golf balls, baseballs, or anything that can cause discomfort without harming you. The object needs to be placed on your back, inside your shirt or the back pocket of your pajama.

These are some of the most used snoring devices to prevent loud snoring, you can find more with a search online, but these ones have proven most useful for people in general.
