The Benefit of Having a Spiritual Coach and Guide

For most of my life I was chasing happiness. I had fun confused with happiness and was constantly trying to fill the emotional void within my soul. Not matter what I experienced emotionally or physically, I was always left with wanting more.

Spirituality was something I never understood, and the term spiritual coaching was something I would have never considered. Yet after reaching a bottom resulting in spiritual and emotional bankruptcy, I was ready to try anything. Having always been reluctant about religion and religious traditions, the term spirituality still causes some resistance within me. As I starting researching a spiritual guided life, I heard a quote by Bonnie Riatt, “Religion is for those afraid of doing to hell, spirituality is for those who have been there.” I really related to that and it made my attempt to strive for spiritual growth a lot easier.

Over the next couple years I worked a serious of spiritual programs that allowed me to find a spiritual guide of my own. I enlisted the help of a spiritual coach and adviser which made the process a lot easier. The result today is a life better than anything I could have ever imagined. I know what it means today to have that small inner voice which guides me every day.

Everyone has experienced the amazing coincidences in life which we cannot explain. Like having a certain tune or song in our head and hearing that song playing on the radio when we start our car. Or thinking about a friend we haven’t heard from in years only to get home to find a letter from them in the mailbox or message on the answering machine. For me, these moments are my spiritual guide’s way of letting me know I’m right where I’m supposed to be; that everything is the way it should be. The hole in my soul that I was constantly trying to fill with external things has finally found its filling.
