Staying motivated to keep up with your home workout program can be a daunting task at times. The problem is that you’ll see the results of your efforts after some weeks, not immediately. Just like an entrepreneur man who starts a new business. He will invest time and money and he won’t see any profits for the first two or more years.
You need the same mindset as an entrepreneur for your workouts. Know that your rewards are just delayed but you will get them and they will be worth your efforts.
The Seinfeld method
Another method you can use is the Seinfeld motivation secret. When he was asked how to be a good comedian he said you need to have a lot of jokes to choose from. In order to have many jokes you need to write daily. But writing daily can become really tiresome. So he hanged a huge calendar on his wall with all the days of the year, and for every day he would reach his goal to write jokes he would put a big red X on that day. And with time a little train with start forming and when you will feel like you are not in the mood to write you will look at your big train of red Xs and you won’t want to break the chain.
I’ve put in practice this method and it works. There is a sense of accomplishment every time you put another X on that calendar. It will really give you the energy and determination to push forward on one of “those” days.
Measuring your progress
Another method is to measure your progress. Measure how much weight you are losing on average in 1 week. Write down the number of reps you can do for each exercise, or time yourself. By being able to observe your progress and quantify the results you get from your workouts it will be much easier to stay motivated and push yourself for fast weight loss.
