Ultrasonic Liposuction – A New Approach To Fat Removal

Diet and exercise do not always fulfill the desired results of eliminating all the fat a person desires. More often than not a person loses weight and then hits a plateau where they just can not get rid of that last bit of fat. Therefore, many people opt to reach their desired goals by obtaining outside sources such as liposuction. One of the newest more popular forms of liposuction is ultrasonic liposuction. Ultrasonic liposuction has quickly gained recognition and has become the most desirable means of getting rid of that pesky extra fat.

Ultrasonic liposuction originated in Europe in 1990 and became an accepted form of lipo in the United States in 1997. This new method uses ultrasonic waves to liquefy the fat. A small hand held devise is glided over the area in which you are trying to eliminate the fat. The vibrations disrupt the molecules causing the fat to break up and liquefy. When combined with traditional liposuction, fat elimination can be optimized.

Now, you are probably wondering why and how can this new ultrasonic method of liposuction be safer than the traditional liposuction. The simplest answer is the use of high frequency ultrasonic waves. A devise is used on the exterior of the body to melt the layers of fat into a liquid. Once the fat turns to liquid it can then be sucked out of the body using the traditional instrument known as a cannel, a small metal vacuum tube, which is inserted into the body through incisions. The other means of removing the fat is to allow the body to dispose of it naturally.

If you combine UAL and traditional liposuction, a larger portion of fat can be treated along with those hard to reach spot not treatable easily by just traditional liposuction. With the use of a cannel, which is a small metal vacuum tube, once the fat is liquefied it can be sucked right out of the body with minimal incisions. There is also less risk of damage or harm to other internal parts. The UAL method alone and combined with traditional lipo suction has become the most desirable means of cosmetic fat removal.

Do not think since there is a newer, safer means of liposuction available that there are fewer risks. There is always a risk when you are messing with the internal makings of the body. There are fewer side effects and risks with the UAL method, if you use a doctor that is experienced in the method. If you use someone that is not experienced, it could be associated with higher risk and side effects.

Some of the side effects that are curbed with the use of the UAL method are bruising, puncturing of other organs, damage to blood vessels and edema. One of the main risks of using high frequency emissions to liquefy is the possibility of burns to the body, especially if performed by someone not familiar or experienced with the UAL method.

You are probably wondering how burns could be a side effect or risk. Well, think about it; to liquefy a solid you must disrupt the composition of the solid by heating it. This is exactly what the ultrasound waves are doing melting the fat by using a high frequency to disrupt the molecules; therefore if improperly used burns or blisters could appear. With the traditional method of lipo there is no risk of burning or blistering; however, there are high risks of severe bruising and swelling.

Liposuction is considered a cosmetic procedure but now it is being performed on more than just the rich and famous. Anyone wanting or wishing to sculpt their body and eliminate fat deposits should consider lipo. Especially with the newer safer UAL procedure available, more and more people are taking the plunge and getting rid of that pesky fat. All you have to lose are those unwanted pockets of fat.
