Is it me or has The Biggest Loser show became overly boring in the last few years. Honestly, I use to couldn’t wait for this show to air. Now, I came all the way down to where I don’t even TiVo it any longer! It’s just became so freakin’ scripted and predictable. I’ve heard more grumbling about this new season of The Biggest Loser than any other one. And I’ve been a loyal viewer since the very first episode years ago.
The show has taken steps over the years to try and improve the quality for the viewers, but honestly these were only a band-aid. Whenever they changed host from Carolyn to Allyson, a majority of viewers rejoiced, especially us old time loyal viewers. We could never understand why Carolyn became the host to begin with. Some even said she should have been a contestant rather than a host of the show.
Many of us long time viewers have noticed that the trainers, Jillian and Bob, seemed to have become more ‘drama’ driven than in previous seasons. We seem to have more and more drama moments on The Biggest Loser show than in years past.
Another thing that many of us hate is how they do their commercial breaks. After they return from a commercial, it seems the first five minutes are covering what happened in the last five minutes before the commercial break. This is so annoying! It’s like they don’t have enough original footage so they ‘fluff’ up the show by using footage they’ve already filmed!
Whether this is the last year for The Biggest Loser show remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, the producers need to do something to energize the show and recapture many of use disgruntled viewers as well as capturing newer viewers who have never saw the show.
